How do the Variations of a course compare? If you have a great course that you've made Variations for different modalities or different semester options, the Variation Activity Report can help you audit the differences and compare them. The nucleus for all the variations is exactly the same, but the bundle organization and activities can be quite different. This report will show you how the activities differ from variation to variation (by time or by points). Use this report to audit types of activities and how they are distributed across all variations of a course. This report can help assess how much time is spent by students on certain activities, the ways they are being engaged, and the frequency of assessments.
Step 1: Ready to create your report? First, you need to start at the course level. Next, click on Data and Reports in the right panel, and select Variation Activity Report. (Note: A course with no variations will display Course Activity Report)
Step 2: In the drop-down menu, you can choose the individual activity type, or all activity types. In this panel, choose:
To include activities...
- Marked as assessments
- Marked as learning
- All activities
- Activities by time
- Activity properties by time
- hr: min
