- Can I get rid of an archive?

Archived Courses (level-4 objects) typically represent the official approved curriculum by a department, division, organization, or accreditation agency. Archived courses don’t often change and when they do, it generally involves discussion with stakeholders and follows an official approval process. This is why the elements inside an archived course are not editable. Any changes that need to be made to the course description or C-Layer are changes that should be made to an active course map. If the course gets a new course ID number, it is generally a new course, not an archive. The only changes that can be made are changes to the name of the archived course or removing it from the archive.
Managers or Admins, follow the directions below to edit the archive name or delete it.
Edit the name:
Delete an archive:
Step 1: First, you need to be on the course level (level 4), and make sure that Edit mode is on. Then, click on the Archives icon in the right panel. Find the archive you want to edit and mouse over to see the three dots (ellipsis).
Note: Right clicking opens the archive, so make sure you just hover to see the ellipsis.
Step 2: Click on the ellipsis, and choose between Rename or Delete.
