Export Common Cartridge from Canvas

NOTE: Each LMS instance controls the availability and placement of the Common Cartridge course export. If you cannot locate the export by following the instructions below, check the specific documentation for your campus's LMS.

1. From the left navigation in a Canvas course, choose Settings at the very bottom (may have to scroll).

2. From the right menu, choose Export.
   

    

3. In the Export Type, select course and Export.
   

    

    

4. You will receive an email when the file is ready.

5. Click on the link in the email to return to the Content Export > Export Type screen.
   
   
   
   

    

6. Click on the file name above the Export Type heading to download the IMSCC file.
   
   
   

7. Go to the next step: B. Change the file extension from .imscc to .zip.
