Learn to add a Bundle in a course, which organizes the delivery design of a course. The Bundle Layer answers- When will students learn?
Here's an interactive tutorial:
10 STEPS
1. The Bundle Layer answers the question "When will students learn?"
The delivery organization (weeks, chapters, modules, etc) of a course is designed on the Bundle Layer.
This tutorial covers Adding a Bundle. Read about the Bundle Layer design.
2. To add a Bundle Layer element, check that you are on Level 4, the course level.
3. Click the Module button to view the Bundle Layer. The Bundle Layer icon has the bundle of books and is named Module here, but can be customized.
Read more about setting Bundle types and ordering the Bundles.
4. Click the Edit Mode button to enable edit mode.
Each user's permissions will determine which modes they may use. Check your permissions if you are unable to complete an action.
5. Add bundles to design when students will encounter the learning objectives and activities.
Click the Plus sign Module button to add a new module to the course. If you don't see the button, check your permissions.
6. Add the title of the Bundle.
Since the Bundle type has been set to 'Module' at the Program Level in this example, all references to Bundles will be replaced with Modules.
7. Add the Description of the Bundle.
The title and description show up in the circle course graph, in reports, and in the description panel.
8. Add an optional ID for the Bundle.
You may find it useful to use the ID field to coordinate to a reference in a textbook or courseware program.
The bundle ID field accepts all standard keyboard characters.
9. Click the Add button to close the menu and see the new Bundle element, here called a Module, in your Course Graph.
10. You are viewing the Course Graph. The newest Bundle gets added after the last Bundle that was added.
The ordering can be changed in Settings or by dragging and dropping the elements of the Course Graph.
NEXT- Add a Learning Objective.
