Once activities and assessments have been connected to the learning objectives they cover, use this report to answer any questions about the types, time, and more. Assessments and learning activities are the designed activities that the learners participate in. Some examples of learning activities are lectures, discussions, readings, research, and projects. Assessment activities include things like papers, exams, and quizzes. This report is ideal for planning, quality reviews, and communicating what students are doing.
Used by: Program chairs, curriculum committee, faculty, adjuncts, and can answer questions such as:
- How can I see how much time is spent in assessments?
- How can I see when students should be interacting with the expert (instructor)?
- How can I see a list of activities in the course?
- How can I see what’s happening online and what’s face-to-face? Asynchronous vs. synchronous?
- How can I see how much time is designed for a course and how that time is being used?
Step 1: Ready to create your report? First, you need to start at the course level. Next, click on Data and Reports in the right panel, and select Course Activity Report.
Step 2: In the Course Activity Report panel, you can choose to generate the report with:
- All Activities
- Activities marked as Assessment
- Activities marked as Learning
Choose to generate metrics:
- Using time (decimals, or hr: min format)
- Using points
