- Why would I copy a course?
In Coursetune, users with appropriate rights have the ability to copy or share level-4 objects. There are distinct differences between a copied level-4 object and a shared level-4 object.
A copied level-4 object is usually for the purpose of using the structure of the original to build out a new level-4 object, so a user does not have to start from scratch. Copied level-4 objects also come in handy for training reasons. A user can use the copy to edit and change as they see fit, without undoing the structure of the original level-4 object.

A proxy level-4 object is very different. A level-4 object is typically shared to another level-3 folder because the level-4 object is a requirement for students.
For example: The level-4 object General Biology may have been created originally for the Biology Department, but is a requirement for students of the Chemistry Department. The level-4 object can be shared from the Biology Department to the Chemistry Department as a proxy.
Shared level-4 objects can ONLY be edited by the original level-3 folder it comes from. However, users with appropriate roles can take an active part in suggestions and discussions surrounding the proxy level-4 objects.
