- How do I import a course that I have exported from Coursetune?
As and editor or manager, you may have exported a course to have an external copy that you can reimport at any time. Coursetune makes it easy to import your course file.
There are four file types that can be imported into Coursetune:
- Text file
- .yml
- .json
- .xlsx
Note: .yml, and .json. An .xslx can be built manually for import, or exported from course then reimported. Text files can be built manually, then imported.
There are two ways of importing a course:
- From the Add Course (Level 4 Object) panel
- From the Reports and Data panel
From the Add Course (Level 4 Object) panel
From the Reports and Data panel
From the Add Course (Level 4 Object) panel:
Step 1: Ready to import your course? First, you need to be in your program (level-3 folder), and make sure to turn on Edit mode. Just like adding a new course manually, click the plus sign + to open the Add Course (Level 4 Object) panel.
Step 2: Click on Import, and find the file on your computer.
Note: If your previously exported course contains higher level mapping sets that exist in the program you are importing to, such as Institution (level-1) outcome sets, you will be given the option to merge the sets or create the sets as a current program level mapping sets.
From the Reports and Data panel:
From the program level (level 3), click Reports and Data in the right panel to find the Import button at the bottom (this is where you can export the program, too).
