Topics & Objectives guides faculty in creating course learning objectives, brainstorming topics, naming modules, linking topics to modules, and writing learning objectives for each module.
1. CLOs and Topics
In this category, faculty begin their course design by listing the course learning objectives and listing topics.
Advice for writing CLOs and Topics
Advice for writing course learning objectives and topics is available in the italicized, collapsible paragraph.
The ( ? ) icon to the right of the panel headers provides additional guidance, including a link to AP’s own documentation.
Adding CLOs
In the left panel, you will add a short title and the full description of the course learning objective. The short title is useful for reports in Coursetune.
1. Click + Plus CLO.
2. Create your short title, and add a full description.
Adding Topics
In the right panel, you can brainstorm a list of topics.
1. To add a new Topic, click the + Plus Topic.
2. Add the topic text.
NOTE: In this panel only, the enter or return key creates a new topic.
Reordering Topics
To reorder a topic, use the hamburger menu to move the topic up or down.
Deleting Topics
To delete a topic, use the hamburger menu’s delete option.
Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete in the window. Or, cancel to keep the LO.
Required for Check Mark
To earn a check mark for this section, at least one course learning objective and topic must be created. Also, no course learning objective or topic can be empty.
