How do I add a learning objective (LO)?

Learning objectives are the explicit statements that explain what students are learning. They are used in Coursetune to roll up into the course goals and connect to activities and assessments. They are the element that sits on both design layers of a course that describe what students learn and when. Adding learning objectives is easy and fun. There are a few ways to do it:

• Add a learning objective from the course (level-4 object) circle graph
• Add a learning objective from the Expanded LO list
• Add LOs in the LO batch editor

Add a learning objective from the course (level-4 object) circle graph

Step 1: First, make sure you are on the desired course (level 4), and turn on Edit mode. 

Step 2: Click the desired bundle or c-layer element, and then click on + learning objective.

Step 3: In the panel, you can manually type the objective, or copy and paste from an outside document.

 

Add a learning objective from the Expanded LO list

Once you have one or more LOs tied to a c-layer element or bundle, a blue arrowed arc will appear.

There are two ways to expand the LOs to view the full statements at once.

(1) Double click on a bundle or c-layer 

(2) Or click on the blue arrowed arc 

In the Expanded LO panel, click on Add LO to add an individual LO or Add Multiple LOs to add a bunch at once. This is a good option for when you are copying and pasting a lot of LOs from an outside document.

Add a learning objective from the Batch Editor

Step 1: While in Edit mode, click on a bundle or C-layer element, and then click on the Editing pencil.

Step 2: Add a single LO by clicking the plus sign + on the left side of the panel.
