- Can I add a bunch of learning objectives at once?
- Can I copy and paste LOs from an outside document?
Who can do this? Editors, managers, and admins
If you have source documents with multiple learning objectives, like a syllabus, you don't have to move those LOs to Coursetune one at a time. You can move batches of LOs to Coursetune through a simple copy and paste process.
You can also clean up the LOs as you bring them into Coursetune with optional data scrubbing like:
- Removing extra spaces in the sentences
- Adding missing periods to the end of LOs
- Removing numbering in front of the LOs
Add multiple LOs
Begin at the course level (1) and turn on "Edit" mode (2). Select the desired destination c-layer or bundle element (3) and click the arrowed arc (4). The select "Add Multiple LOs" (5).
The "Add Multiple LOs" panel will open. There are three input formats to choose from, depending on how your LOs looked in the original document:
- Each LO on separate line: Use this input format if each LO was separated by one ENTER, with no empty lines in between LOs.
- Empty line separated LOs: Use this input format if there is an empty line between LOs
- Semicolon(;) separated LOs: Use this input format if there are semi-colons separating the LOs.
Select the appropriate input option and then paste the LOs into the provided space (paste is Ctrl-V on PC and Cmd-V on Mac).
If you choose LOs separated by line break (enter), you can:
- Remove number at beginning of LOs
- Remove ID in front of LOs
- Remove ID ad the end of Los
- Use removed ID in "LO ID" field
- Remove spaces at beginning and end of LOs
- Remove extra spaces within LOs
- Capitalize first word of each LO
- Add trailing period (if missing)
If you choose "Empty line between LOs", you can:
- Remove number in front of LO
- Remove ID in front of LOs
- Remove ID ad the end of LOs
- Use removed ID in "LO ID" field
- Replace line breaks with spaces: If there is an undesired line break between words, this will strip that and replace it with a space
- Remove spaces at beginning and end of LOs
- Remove extra spaces within LOs
- Capitalize first word of each LO
- Add trailing periods (if missing)
If you choose "LOs separated by semicolons", you can:
- Remove number in front of LO
- Remove ID in front of LOs
- Remove ID ad the end of LOs
- Use removed ID in "LO ID" field
- Replace line breaks with spaces: If there is an undesired line break between words, this will strip that and replace it with a space
- Remove spaces at beginning and end of LOs
- Remove extra spaces within LOs
- Capitalize first word of each LO
- Add trailing periods (if missing)
