- How do I import a Competency Framework CSV file for outcome sets into Moodle?
Who can do this? Editors and managers in CourseTune with appropriate rights to programs (level-3 folders) and/or courses (level-4 objects), and admins.
You must also be an admin in Moodle.
First, you must make sure that all of the required ID fields in the CourseTune Outcome Set are filled out:
- Outcome Set ID
- Outcome ID
- Suboutcome ID (if present)
Step 1: Begin by navigating to the desired level (Institution- level 1, Division- level 2, Program- level 3, or course- level 4), and turn on Edit mode. In this example, we will use a program set.
Step 2: Click the desired outcome set in the right panel, and the click the pencil icon.
Step 3: In the Batch Mapping Editor, click on Export Moodle. Save the file to your device.
Please note that if you try to export an outcome set in Coursetune that does not have the outcome set, outcomes and suboutcomes ID fields filled in, you will get a notification.
Step 4: Once you have saved your export, navigate to your Moodle account and go to Site administration.
Step 5: From the Site administration page, under Competencies, select Import competency framework.
Step 6: Drag and drop the exported Coursetune outcome set into the CVS framework description file field and click Import. Click Continue to see the newly imported set.
Note that Moodle requires unique IDs on all these elements. You must have unique IDs in all the relevant fields in Coursetune and they cannot be used anywhere else in Moodle for the upload to work.
